Hello!
So we are currently half way through our first ever headlining tour of the east coast, and its been absolutely incredible! We’ve been out with Braids (from Montreal) who are amazing!! So much fun to watch and such great people.. they’ve now handed the torch to Grooms (from Brooklyn) who I’m really looking forward to playing with the next couple nights.. DC, Philly and then back in New York on Wednesday for our first headlining show at Bowery Ballroom.. Its really exciting and I feel so grateful for everything.. blessed.
The show at Bowery is going to be something special, as the New York show allows us to ask our friends to join us onstage.. there will be horns, bells, a choir, guest vocalist (some very special ones who also sang on the record.. hint hint) and a lot of love in the room..
Then a few days after that I head down under to Sydney Australia (my first time making the 26 hour plane journey!! oy!) for the Vivid Live Festival and a few solo shows in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane! I’m reaaaaaaallllyyyyy excited about this! I can’t even put into words how much…
July will see us in Europe/UK. We’re really happy to be able to make-up the dates that we lost to the volcano, plus more! See dates below.
So thank you thank you thank you for all of your support and for coming out to the shows and DANCING! (Boston you know who you are) It means the world to us.. seriously.
Also, our dear friend Peter Silberman (of The Antlers) did a gorgeous cover of ‘Waves’, it will be available for streaming and sharing. Please go take a listen, put on your headphones and close your eyes.

Hello!
I just wanted to write and say thank you to everyone who came out to support us on the Tegan & Sara tour, we had such an incredible time. It was our first time touring as this band, first time playing songs from the album as a full four piece and there is no way we could have done it with out the support of our fans and friends. We’d also like to thank Steel Train (the other opening act on the tour) who helped us out tremendously and became really good friends. It was truly the most fun I’ve ever had on the road.

We had planned to be back home for 5 days then hit the skies for Hamburg, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and London, but due to the volcano we had to cancel the entire tour. Our flights were originally canceled and then trying to rebook tickets to get into one of the other cities was a complete NIGHTMARE. I’m really incredibly sorry to everyone who bought tickets for these shows. We were just as disappointed (if not more!) to not be making it over for our first headlining tour in Europe. Serious bummer. BUT we will make it up as soon as humanly possible.
I’m really looking forward to the dates we have coming up and trying to take advantage of this down time to rest and work on new songs.
Next up in May, we will be doing our first headlining tour of the East Coast United States, we will be joined by some great bands on this tour. See details below for who will be playing with us. Its going to be another fun one, so don’t miss it!
Then in June, I’ll be heading to Australia by my lonesome to play as part of the Vivid LIVE Festival at the Sydney Opera House! Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson will be curating the event, and from what I’ve read it sounds like its going to be mind blowing. I will be collaborating with Laurie, Emily Haines, Doveman, Blind Alabama Boys and Rickie Lee Jones for the “Slow Music Night” on the main stage, as well as performing a solo show in the Sydney Opera House Studio. After that I’ll be playing a couple of solo shows in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. Details to follow.
Its all very exciting, and I’m just trying to keep saying thank you thank you thank you.
so, thank you. I hope our paths cross soon.
xo

Hello!
I hope you will all be happy to know that we survived South By South West! I hung out with GWAR, told J Mascis that I loved him (he just walked away?) and only got punched in the face once!! ( I was in the mosh pit at the “fucked up” show, so it was fair game)… but seriously we played some really fun shows. The BrooklynVegan showcase at Club De Ville was great, as was the XL showcase at the church. Thank you to everyone who made those possible and came out to support us!
So now we are back on the road with Tegan and Sara for the second leg of the tour! It starts tomorrow in Minneapolis and circles the whole country one more time, ending in Portland. Be aware however, that on this leg of the tour we are swapping slots with Steel Train, so we will be on first every night (usually around 8pm, but double check with the venue).. seriously can’t wait to see everyone again, miss them like something crazy.
After this leg we have two more headlining shows in the US. One in Seattle on 4/09 at the High Dive tickets here we are also playing LIVE on KEXP.org on 4/09. Tune in to listen at 3pm PST!!) and one at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis on 4/12 (tickets here). Then we are off to Europe and the UK for a handful of headline shows (see dates below).
One last thing… we’ve just announced a few dates in the Northeast and Canada around our Bowery Ballroom show on May 26th – again, check ‘em out below.
I’m attaching a photo of my SXSW outfit, as my friend said “Holly’s keeping Austin weird single-handedly”.. I tried.
love,
Holly

hello,
i am writing to you from the road. we just played the last night of the first leg of our tour with tegan and sara… it’s really sad to leave everyone, even if just for a few weeks. we’ve been having such a great time the last three weeks. from boston to tampa, atlanta to san diego, and just now closing this half out in san francisco.
besides adoring tegan and sara, and feeling so honored to get to see them play every night, we have also fallen hard for our other tour mates, Steel Train!! what an amazing band and great group of guys.
we will be headlining two shows this week, one in san francisco on 3/09 and one in los angeles on 3/12 (details below) then we head to austin for south by southwest (schedule to come next week), after, we drive up to omaha for another show with steel train, then to minneapolis where we meet back up with tegan and sara and do the second leg.
below are a few photos i snapped with my phone..
i hope our paths cross soon…
